Reconomy Shortlisted for Shropshire Top Honour
Reconomy, the UK’s leading provider of outsourced waste management and recycling services, has been shortlisted for Business of the Year at the 2017 Shropshire Star Excellence in Business Awards (EiBA).
The Shropshire Star Excellence in Business Awards attract hundreds of entries from businesses of all sizes across the county, from which only three are named as finalists in each category.
From its Telford headquarters, Reconomy’s 300+ workforce collectively manages approximately 3million tonnes of waste per year. For the last four years, the company has consistently diverted 93% of this waste away from landfill by exploring all available opportunities for recycling and reuse with its clients.
The two other companies named as finalists in the Business of the Year category are fast-growing food supplier, Orchard Valley Foods, and electrical services company, Dodd Group. The winners will be announced during a gala awards ceremony at RAF Cosford on Thursday 4th May.
Managing Director of Reconomy, Paul Cox, said: “The Shropshire Star Excellence in Business Awards attract businesses that work across a huge variety of industries and sectors, so to be named amongst the top three is an incredible achievement. This is a great acknowledgement of our hard work over the last year and we are very much looking forward to the awards evening.”
