Reconomy shortlisted at prestigious Housebuilder Awards
Reconomy, the UK’s leading provider of outsourced waste management services, has been named as a finalist in the forthcoming 2016 Housebuilder Awards.
The company is one of only three businesses to have been shortlisted in the highly contested category of Subcontractor of the Year. Full details of all those shortlisted can be found here.
In 2015 Reconomy coordinated the disposal of 556,677 tonnes of housebuilding waste, successfully diverting 94.05% of it away from landfill. This enabled Reconomy’s many housebuilding clients, which include eight of the UK’s top ten housebuilders, to minimise their waste spending and reduce building costs. This has directly contributed to increasing affordable housing across the industry.
The Housebuilder Awards recognise excellence and innovation across the entire housebuilding sector, attracting hundreds of entries every year from many of the industry’s biggest names.
Earlier this year Reconomy was shortlisted for both Company of the Year at the Shropshire Business Awards and Resource Management Business of the Year at the 2016 National Recycling Awards.
Commenting on the news, Reconomy Managing Director, Paul Cox, said: “We are delighted that all of our hard work within the housebuilding industry has been acknowledged in this way. We enjoy a great working relationship with all of our housebuilding clients and being shortlisted for this award is a fantastic acknowledgement of this.”
The winners will be announced on Thursday 3rd November 2016.
