Reconomy Shortlisted for County’s Top Honour
Leading provider of outsourced waste management services, Reconomy, has been shortlisted for 2016 Company of the Year at the forthcoming Shropshire Business Awards.
The Shropshire Business Awards attract hundreds of entries ever year, from which only four companies are shortlisted in each award category. Previous winners of Company of the Year include agricultural machinery specialists, McConnel, office equipment suppliers, Lyreco, and crime fighting experts, SmartWater.
This latest success comes hot on the heels of Reconomy being shortlisted for Resource Management Business of the Year at the upcoming 2016 National Recycling Awards.
In 2015 Reconomy recorded a 62% year-on-year increase in turnover, from £65m to £105m. The company currently employees over 215 people from its offices in Stafford Park, Telford. Almost 40 new recruits have joined Reconomy in the first quarter of 2016 and that number is expected to continue rising.
Reconomy Managing Director, Paul Cox, said: “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious honour. The Shropshire Business Awards attract all kinds of businesses that operate across numerous industries and sectors, so to find ourselves in the top four is in itself a wonderful achievement. We now eagerly await the awards evening.”
The 2016 Shropshire Business Awards take place at the Telford International Centre on Friday 24th June.
