Reconomy Shortlisted at the Edie Sustainability Leaders Awards
Leading provider of outsourced waste and resource management services, Reconomy, has recently been shortlisted at the 2020 Edie Sustainability Leaders Awards.
Now in its 13th year, the event brings together the most innovative businesses and aspiring professionals to celebrate new ways of achieving environmental goals. Open to businesses from public and private sectors, the Edie Sustainability Awards acknowledges those who put sustainability at the heart of their strategy.
Reconomy has been shortlisted for this year’s Technological Innovation of the Year Award, with their Zero Waste Tool entry. The Technological Innovation Award credits organisations that have created or refined a product or solution to deliver key environmental benefits.
Reconomy’s Zero Waste Tool allows organisations to monitor their environmental performance in detail, assisting organisations in meeting their legal reporting obligations.
After making the shortlist, Reconomy’s Head of Sustainability, Nathan Gray, said “The ability for an organisation to measure their Zero Waste status and report its progression is a form of risk mitigation, whilst at the same time providing brand protection and reinforcement. The most important differentiator between organisations that are successfully implement change isn’t what they say, it’s what they do.”
The awards will take place after the two-day Edie Sustainability Leaders Forum, which is running on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th February, at the Business Design Centre in Central London.
