Reconomy Shortlisted for Construction News Award
Reconomy, the UK’s leading provider of outsourced waste management and recycling services, has been named as a finalist at the 2017 Construction News (CN) Awards.
The CN Awards are the most prestigious and high-profile annual awards event held by the construction industry, attracting thousands of entries each year. Reconomy has been shortlisted alongside five other finalists in the category of Specialist Contractor of the Year (turnover over £100m).
Before the awards, all finalists will attend face-to-face judging by members of the CN Awards’ 60-strong jury, made up of many of the construction industry’s most influential and experienced individuals.
This latest acknowledgement of Reconomy’s success follows hot-on-the-heels of the company being shortlisted for Business of the Year at the 2017 Shropshire Star Excellence in Business Awards.
From its Telford offices, Reconomy’s 300+ workforce collectively manages approximately 3million tonnes of waste per year. For the last four years, the company has consistently diverted 93% of this waste away from landfill by exploring all available opportunities for recycling and reuse with its clients.
CN Editor, Tom Fitzpatrick, said: “This year’s Construction News Awards shortlist showcases the best that UK construction has to offer, both for the economy and for communities across the UK and internationally.”
Managing Director of Reconomy, Paul Cox, said: “Reconomy is the waste management service provider of choice for many of the leading names within residential and commercial construction. For our efforts to have been acknowledged by the construction industry in this way is a wonderful achievement, which we are all incredibly proud of. We are now eagerly anticipating the awards evening.”
The CN Award winners will be announced on Thursday 13th July 2017 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. For more information about all the finalists, click here.
