Reconomy signs new £8m waste removal contract with Morgan Sindall Group
Waste management and recycling specialist Reconomy has signed a new agreement with construction and regeneration firm Morgan Sindall Group.
The new waste removal agreement covers the collection and appropriate disposal of all containerised waste, aggregates and technical/hazardous materials.
Morgan Sindall Group Sustainability and Procurement director Graham Edgell said: “We have aspirations to recover 100% of waste resulting from the Group’s activities whilst continuously improving our resource efficiency and therefore required a supplier that was able to provide us with a consistent, robust approach across the group to ensure complete compliance.
“The transparency and real-time reporting afforded by Reconomy’s automated online Portal has played a fundamental role in developing a group wide strategic waste plan. We can now easily quantify the waste from all sites and track its removal and responsible disposal. The data then feeds both standard and bespoke reports and informs future planning.”
Reconomy sales director Matt Nichols added “We’re delighted to be working with Morgan Sindall Group. Our teams have been working very closely to ensure we deliver a waste management and recycling service that is completely tailored to the group’s needs. With this in mind, we’re currently servicing 129 live projects across the country, with the aim to increase this offering as projects grow and develop over time.”
